Large Hand-Painted African Tribal Style Wall Mask Decorative vintage mask with geometric and facial detail A striking and tall decorative wall mask, hand-carved and hand-painted in bold geometric and facial designs. Likely mid to late 20th century, in the style of African tribal art, though produced for the decorative market rather than for ceremonial use. Crafted from a single piece of wood and painted in vivid tones of red, black, white, blue and gold, with incised detailing. The reverse is plain and unpainted, with a hanging loop affixed at the top. Dimensions: Height: 100 cm Width: 14 cm Depth: approx. 7 cm Condition: Good decorative condition overall, with minor surface wear, small scuffs, and marks in keeping with age and handling. Paintwork shows some rubbing and flaking in places. A bold and colourful statement piece for interior display.
