Turned Wooden Pot with Domed Lid, c.1900 A finely turned wooden pot, likely dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. Made from a fruitwood or possibly boxwood, the piece has a warm, mellow tone and smooth surface with gentle grain patterning. The form is attractively waisted, and the domed lid sits loosely atop a threaded neck—though it no longer screws down tightly. Minor knocks and surface marks attest to age and use, and the base shows some natural wear. A modest but well-crafted piece, probably intended for snuff, pills or other small items. Approx. dimensions: 6.5cm high x 6.5cm diameter
