Mid-Century Sheaffer Brass and Glass Illuminated Fountain Pen Retail Display Cabinet A mid-century showroom display cabinet produced for the American luxury pen manufacturer Sheaffer, designed for use in authorised pen retailers and stationers. The tall cabinet of square form with a brass frame and glazed display section, fitted with a lockable glass door and two internal glass shelves beneath an illuminated canopy bearing the Sheaffer name and white dot emblem. The interior retains the original branded presentation plinth and incorporates a pull-out writing surface used for demonstrating fountain pens to customers. The lower section enclosed by a lockable cupboard door and containing internal storage trays intended for boxed stock and accessories. Constructed with brass framing and lacquered steel panels, the cabinet represents a classic example of mid-century commercial shop display furniture. Date: Circa 1955–1965.
