George III Mahogany Vanity Stand Early 19th Century, English A fine George III mahogany vanity stand dating to the early 19th century. This elegant piece showcases the high-quality craftsmanship typical of the period. The stand features a top that opens on two hinged flaps, revealing a spacious interior ideal for personal items or washing accoutrements. The mirror slides upwards, adding both functionality and charm. The front is equipped with a door and a drawer beneath, providing ample storage. The stand rests on square, tapering legs with a beautifully shaped platform at the base, characteristic of George III design. The brass hardware, including handles and hinges, is of excellent quality and adds a refined touch to the overall aesthetic. This vanity stand is in very good condition, having been polished to retain its rich, warm colour and patina.
