Antique Brass Gaming Token – "Iosephus" Three Pound Twelve Late 18th / Early 19th Century A brass gaming token in imitation of 18th-century Portuguese coinage under King Joseph I (Iosephus), with the reverse inscribed “Three Pound Twelve”—a reference to the guinea-and-a-half denomination in British currency. Likely produced for use in gaming houses or private trade. Cast in base metal with a dark patina and signs of age-related wear. The obverse shows a right-facing bust with partial Latin legend; the reverse displays a crowned shield. Edge milled, with minor bruising. Diameter: 28 mm Condition: Worn, with surface marks and patination consistent with age.
