Antique Continental 830 Silver Pierced Pastry Server c.1890 A small continental silver pastry or dessert server, dating to around 1890–1910. The blade is finely pierced with floral and scrollwork ornament in the Rococo Revival taste, while the handle is cast in high relief with foliate detailing. Stamped 830 for continental silver (83% pure), with the number 2149 to the reverse—likely a factory pattern reference. Probably German or Scandinavian in origin. Of modest size, this type of piece was typically used for serving delicate pastries or flans at the tea table. Dimensions: 13.5 x 4.5 x 1 cm Weight: 18.7 grams Good antique condition with some age-related patina and minor oxidisation to recessed areas. No dents or repairs.
