Antique Silver Mounted Crystal Decanter English, late 19th century A fine Victorian silver-mounted decanter of particularly attractive waisted form, the hand-blown crystal body with a twisted, dimpled surface giving a lively optical effect. The neck and rim mounted with ornate pierced and chased silver scrollwork, together with a flared lip. Complete with matching silver-mounted cork stopper, richly embossed with acanthus leaves and scrolls. Hallmarked to the collar and stopper (partly rubbed), likely Birmingham, c.1890–1900. Height: 24.5 cm Width: 9.5 cm In good antique condition, with minor surface wear and light tarnish consistent with age. The cork shows age-related wear and shrinkage.
