Pair of Royal Worcester Blanc de Chine Merchild Salt Cellars, Model 349, England, 1962–63
Description:
A charming and finely modelled pair of blanc de chine salt cellars by Royal Worcester, England. Each piece is formed as a seated merman or mermaid cradling a shell-shaped bowl, rising from stylised waves, with delicate modelling to the facial features and marine tails.
Both pieces are produced in fine English bone china with a creamy ivory glaze. Marked to the base with green Royal Worcester backstamps, dated 1962 and 1963 respectively, and numbered 349 — a recognised design in the Royal Worcester archive.

Very good condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. Light surface wear consistent with age.
