Antique Wrought Iron Chimney Trammel / Pot Hook
An early wrought iron adjustable chimney trammel, c.18th to early 19th century, used for suspending a cooking pot over an open hearth. The piece features a toothed bar with multiple notches for height adjustment, allowing the attached hook to be moved closer to or further from the fire. Forged from iron with a pleasing aged patina and some surface rust consistent with age and use.
Dimensions: Approx. 58 cm long, 14 cm high, 8 cm deep.
