Victorian Copper Helmet Coal Scuttle with Brass Mounts, England, 19th Century A handsome 19th-century English copper coal scuttle of helmet form, richly patinated and mounted with brass swing and rear handles. This elegant fireside piece features a deeply hammered surface and rolled rim, standing on a flared circular foot. The scuttle has developed a warm, timeworn finish, characteristic of its age, and makes a sculptural yet practical accent beside an open hearth. Dimensions: Height with handle raised: 43 cm Width: 28 cm Depth: 40 cm Condition: Good antique condition with age-related wear. Minor dents and dings to the body and a slight distortion to the base, consistent with period use. Retains a polished surface and sits soundly.
