Antique Indian Brass Cachepot c.1880
A good late 19th century Indian brass cachepot of rounded form, finely hand-engraved with scrolling foliate and floral decoration.
Likely produced in the Moradabad or Benares region of Northern India, the surface is richly ornamented with traditional motifs. The rim is slightly flared, and the base is neatly bordered. The brass has developed a warm, natural patina from age and handling.
