Pair of Georgian Brass Candlesticks c.1820
A well-matched pair of early 19th-century English brass candlesticks, crafted in the Georgian style with baluster stems and stepped, square bases. The design is typical of the period, combining elegance with a solid, practical form. Both examples exhibit a mellow antique patina, with pleasing signs of wear and age throughout.
There is some minor distortion to the candle cups, as often found in authentic period examples, and the original taper inserts are no longer present. The bases are slightly uneven but stand steadily.
Dimensions: Height 20.5 cm; Base 8.5 cm square
Condition: Good antique condition with surface wear, patina, and minor irregularities consistent with age and use. The taper holders are missing.
