Pair of Antique Sheffield Plate Candlesticks
A good pair of 19th-century Sheffield plate candlesticks, of classic baluster form with foliate cast decoration to the bases and sconces. The silvering shows honest wear consistent with age, revealing the warm tones of the copper beneath in places.
Each candlestick measures approximately 20cm high and 12cm in diameter. Structurally sound and well-balanced, both are baize-lined to the undersides.
An attractive and well-proportioned pair with good presence, suitable for use or display.
