Stampless cover to England with the scarce type IV Tristan cachet in red on both the front and reverse of the cover and the type V Tristan cachet in violet. The cover has a "LONDON / 24 AP 31 / F.S.72" arrival c.d.s. on the front and an inspectors handstamp on the reverse and has unusually been delivered free of charge. An exceptional combination of cachets which only occurred on this one mailing, carried from Tristan on the S.S. "Franconia" or the whaler S.S "Seringa".
