Switch on 70’s is a RARE /UNIQUE, Wall Hanging Fabric of Museum Quality from 1972.

It is likely this Bernard Wardle Company Ltd fabric is a one-off example sample. 

This fluent, colourful and graceful composition embraces the seventies beauty, sexual sophistication and revolution within a flowing composition. A concept and a juxtaposition which embraces liberation and change as thoughts, ideas and life style choices emerged more free thinking than the 1950s and 1960s.

About the Art and the Artist:
Bernard Wardle Company Ltd were an established Printers and Weavers of Furnishing Fabrics of all types, including Hand and Roller Printer Linens, Chintzes and Cretonnesm. 

All Woven Fabrics before the Welsh factory's closure in 1980 where of a traditional pattern of flowers and motiffs in the Victorian manner.  

Switch On 70 is a transition away from that stayed Victorian style addressing the narratives of the day.
